My fellow brothers and sisters, youths and friends of Nka Ima Ndito Nsit Atai North America and with special regards to the Board of Trustee , Executives and all the members of NINNANA, our children as well, I am honored to be your president. I want to thank all of you for being here today and also to our brothers and sisters nationwide who through teleconference always participate in the meetings.
My special thanks to our Director of Women Affairs: Mrs. Uduak G.Umoh and all our wives for their unwavering roll in feeding us each time we assemble. I also want to thank my Vice President: Mr. Archibald Mbatt; Director of Youth, Welfare and Culture: Elder Imeh Akpan; the General Secretary: Mr. Emmanuel Akwa and more so members of my cabinet for their support to this organization.
Your well coordinated contributions and efforts led us to a successful, vibrant and colorful inauguration. Please permit me to use this opportunity to thank all friends of NINNANA like Dr. Ededet Udo and wife, Dr. Nkanga, Mr. Samuel Essien, to mention but a few for their support which helped us achieve a successful 2011 inauguration. The DVD of the function will be made available when ready.
I know that the inauguration had its own objective of Medical Outreach in Nsit Atai. A plan to implement this will soon be put in place. The first Saturday of September which also is the Labor weekend is NSIT ATAI DAY U.S.A and we are looking forward to celebrate it together.
Attendance to meetings is a vital requirement from all the members. I thank all those members who put in their time in all the meetings. Though we sometimes disagree in our opinions but it is said, we disagree to agree and this is what edifies us. At this point, I want to point out that no member should take it personal or hold grouch on one another nor permit birth to disunity whenever a situation of disagreement is necessary. And of course I should say that to build you must disagree to succeed. So your continuous impulse towards a solid and goal achieved organization is requested from everyone.
For the benefit of those who might not have been aware or who have forgotten, some changes were made in certain offices. The post of Financial Secretary/Treasurer that was left vacant for some time was filled up by Mrs. Justina Akpan. Two new members in the persons of Mr. Joseph Oworoetop and Dr. Ndem Ndem were added to the Board of Trustee. Mr. Ime Udombang though still remains our web guru occupies the post of Area Coordinator in Atlanta which Dr. Ndem handled before while Mr. Jenkins Ekpo is our Assistant Secretary and Mrs. Eno Mbatt Assistant Director of Women Affairs. All new posts were approved by the two houses: Executive and BOT and made known to the general house.
At this point, I on behalf of NINNANA want to extend sincere thanks to Mr. Ime Udombang for managing the website for us with no charge.
Finally, dear members of NINNANA, once again I want to solicit for your unquestionable wit and professional knowledge towards the building of a state of the art organization. This in future will not only make you happy but will make you be proud of the legacy you have left for your children. Remember NINNANA is the pride of Nsit Atai Community in USA.
Thank You. God bless you and God bless NINNANA. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
